I like to keep lists. They help me get started, but I've never been good at keeping them organized as the project progresses. Maybe you can help. I'm going to try grouping them by cost. Maybe tomorrow I can revise the rules/goal/mission statement.
Here is the list:
Need a little money ($):
1) hole in ceiling, due to shower leak
2) stairway rails are loose
3) 2 outside spigots need to be replaced.
4) add a safety device to upstairs windows
5) Need another lock and maybe a bell on the front door to keep little kids from wondering off.
6) master bath squeaky/rusty door
7) cat magnet
8) fix dresser drawer on daughter's dresser
9) repair sprinklers, some too low, some too high, some placed poorly
10) eyeball light over fireplace hasn't worked for years
11) floodlight in front of house has never worked.
12) mortar used to fix fireplace brick is wrong color.
13) paint door on master bedroom
Need a moderate amount of money ($$)
1) repair fence
2) run hoses from rain barre$lls to garden and maybe a pump.
3) fix childhood music box for my daughter
4) daughter's bedroom door creaking again
5) chainsaw dull again (but not boring)
6) Finish patio extention.
7) fix bathroom floors where new toilets don't match the hole from the old toilets
8) Replace light in kids bath
9) Replace mirror in kids bath
10) paint kids bath
11) repair banging pipes in kids bath
Need a lot of money ($$$+)
1) fix '66 Barracuda enough for sale to someone else who wants a project ($$$)
2) carpet on stairs is loose (and ugly) ($$$$)
3) some of the kitchen cabinet doors don't close all the way (and they are ugly) (free or $$$$)
4) paneling on house needs to be repaired and painted. ($$$$$)
5) Replace faucet in kids bath ($$$)
Already have the supplies:
1) finish the last piece of baseboards trim around master bedroom
2) replace fan in master bath
3) replace kitchen outlets with safe outlets
4) replace outlets in living room
5) fix blinds, not opening and closing evenly
6) fix gates, crooked, don't open and shut
7) the kitchen door to the garage doesn't open all the way, rubs on the ground
8) master bath needs towel rack
9) a rung in one of the dining room chairs is broken
10) the brakes on my car are squeaking badly, but not scraping, so it is just a vibration between the drum and pads
11) Door trim to my son's room needs paint.
12) loose faucet in 1/2 bath
13) secure shelves to the wall, especially since second kid is a climber.
14) make a dust cover for the new printer.
15) fix bath tile in second bath
16) fix hubby's watch winder
17) fix chair in garage
18) trim dead limbs on dying oak tree before they fall on house
19) birds in attic (bats in the belfry?)
20) trim tree limbs rubbing gutters
21) label fuse box switches correctly
22) ceiling lamp in entrance hall lights up brighter when you slam a door.
23) dryer light is off unless you hit the dryer in just the right place, with just the right pressure (Fonzie style)
24) several of the ceiling fans shake too hard when they are on high speed.
25) finish painting stairway hall
26) weeds and grass crowding house, part 2
27) fix ceiling paint in dining room
